Bogie said it to Mary Astor in the earlier film, in a cynical way. Maybe that is deliberate here. Regardless, the two bring the scene home. Love conquers all.

And I agree, it is all there in the end. And Bacall delivers quite an ending. Myself, I like "It's even better when you help" more than the whistle thing, which is only the cherry on top of what has gone before.

And I agree. The scene is absolute dynamite, which is why I have been posting it all over DU tonight. Rachel just played the whistle part tonight, but she missed the "It's even better when you help".

Myself, I think helping is much better than just whistling. Both Bogie and Bacall would undoubtedly agree.

It is an awesome scene.
