and punishable up to ten years in the federal pen. Most gun people I know have a problem with the sentencing guidelines in such cases. For example, there was outrage among all the gun blogs about a straw purchaser who bought several guns for biker gang types but got a year probation.
One thing I would liked for Obama do to with his EOs to address that if he legally can and order DoJ to prosecute felon in possession cases the locals give them.
