Concern about tritium generation has always been a concern on FLIBE based systems. (I'd be more concerned about beryllium but that's just me.)

Actually 6Li would supply an excellent source of helium, both isotopes as the tritium decays into valuable 3He.

It looks as if they're focusing on modest improvements in neutron economy but I can't imagine they'd see a 1.1 breeding ratio. The best I've ever heard of was 1.03 with 233U.

Years ago I was a FLIBE kind of guy, but those days are over.

If they go under the thorium they buy will be a fungible asset for creditors to sell. I would love to hear of the Canadians buying it, along with some of the plutonium lying around in other places.
