separation from even the ones you love might be made to feel mandatory.

As my cousin described reconnecting with some of the cousins who had been estranged after a split, lovely people, horrible parents.

I know the kids who had no choice but to stay with the drunk a**holes didn't feel safe reaching out until grown and out on their own.

Hope your dream turns out to be a harbinger of something good that you've had in the back of your mind but couldn't recognize until you were dreaming.
