You’ve been monitored to keep an eye out for this. This is nothing like winding up in the hospital because something horrible happened and they discovered something that’s been growing for years and is too major to deal with. They’ll obviously want to get it out, they’ll probably put you on tamoxifen or something, and you’ll cope.

You’re not alone, obviously—look at the people here rushing to comfort you! Just stay positive and expect the best. I’ve worked in healthcare for a couple decades and have seen far more successes than failures.
