We're not supposed to have 'favorite' children, but our second cat was clearly the one who became dearest to me. She only lived about 10 years, and we're not sure what she died from (vet. medicine was a long way from what it is today). I still miss her, and sometimes feel like I'm "cheating" with other cats.
She was a gray tabby, too.
