5. Let there be Light! Happy Hanukkah, deb!

Growing up I lived in one 2/3rds Jewish neighborhood and another that was maybe near 50% or so. A mix if conservatives, reform, and maybe some cultural Jews.

Anyway, there's the Holiday of Sokkot a harvest and commenting the Egyptian Exodus festival, after the high holy days. A temporary structure is built; a sukhat. They have meals, and singing there.
I know this because they built them in our buildings' inner courtyards.

I mentioned this because you can look up a exhibit that was held in Manhattan's Union Square Park ? 20 or so years back that featured variously designed sukhats.
I went to see it in person. As lover of architecture big, and small this was very interesting!
But I also remembering some years later found photos on line.
