(25,073 posts)102. Ghost, Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare in Love, and Corinna, Corinna
They all combine humor with romance.
The dialogue in Pride and Prejudice (Keira Knightly) when Elizabeth's cousin visits looking for a wife is hilarious. Dialogue throughout the film carries the story.
Ghost - The theme that love transcends death is romantic in itself. Whoop Goldberg is priceless in providing the humor.
Corinna, Corinna - Whoop Goldberg again, this time as a woman in love. Sensitive themes of death and interracial relationship balanced with humor.
Shakespeare in Love - Witty, imaginative, and a touching love story.
