First, birds are a lot more intuitive than what we think. When I go to a certain spot he says "Bye my guy" in a child's voice and I go upstairs or leave. But sometimes I would plop in a chair and watch the news, Before I do that he says "Ahhhh".

"Double trash day" he says when he hears the trash truck very far away.

I NEVER try to teach him anything and most things he gets from context in another room. Such as from his long since off the airwaves Jerry Springer show. He would whistle like crazy when the violence began. Stop it!

He helps corral the critters, telling them the food is ready. But I don't think they listen to him and maybe view him as dessert. But when the kitty cats stick their paws in his cage, they soon regret his powerful beak.

When the land phone was there he would often repeat things I would say, aha? You want some more time to think about it?

Does he get it? I don't know but don't go in the bathroom! He remembers sounds he hears.

He is 25 and very sociable and waits til someone is eating near him before he eats.

His best moment is when a very tall redhead came in the kitchen. He rushed to the front of his pagoda cage and gave her the wolf whistle. When his species sees red it means it's mating season. Then out of the blue "Do you love me?" Again no response from the G-woman. Finally he moped on back to his little house in the pagoda, "Want some time to think about it?"

These are his best moments.
