that Frigidaire is the best brand. Of course it was by an independent appliance retailer. I have a Gibson, 28 years, that was made by Frigidaire. I plan to replace it very soon with a ............. Frigidaire!

Frigidaire was the original fridge in 1916. "From 1919 to 1979, the company was owned by General Motors. During that period, it was first a subsidiary of Delco-Light[10] and was later an independent division based in Dayton, Ohio. The division also manufactured air conditioning compressors for GM cars. Anything made by Electrolux in my experience is top-notch. Like every other industry, history is a series of conglomerations and takeovers. They bought White Consolidated, which had various brand names. For awhile they owned Husqvarna, another top shelf brand. A corporation that is buying and selling divisions, fixing systems, tech, distribution, is a vibrant enterprise.
