Early yesterday a friend of her’s showed up with a U-Haul to help her evacuate. Her husband refused to remove any of their belongings from their house. He insisted on dicking around with a generator and pump to use the pool water to keep the house wet. Around midnight their backyard ignited and they just made it to one of their cars before the house caught fire.

She lost thirty years of her award winning photos and fashion designs, heirlooms from her grandparents, photo albums, gifts from her childhood, I could go on and on.

Also lost were custom motorcycles designed and built by her husband worth $250,000.

The last time we spoke was early this morning. She said it took six hours to get out of the fire zone.

While talking the line went dead and we have not been able to reach her since.
