So much misinformation is flying around right now, likely from both sides!
Iranians saying ships are moving, US saying they are not.
I’ve got a subscription to MarineTraffic and it has some tools to help determine who is telling the truth.
Here’s what’s interesting to me. Iran has a long history of having the tankers turn off AIS tracking.
I tried looking for all 6 ships centcom claims to have turned around or stopped.
I’ve only been able to uncover 3 of them.
1) Ostria - attempted to cross the strait outbound, turned back and anchored.

2) Elpis - crossed the strait outbound, but stopped and anchored on the other side, near where Centcom says the blockade begins.

3) Rich Starry - turned around outbound prior to leaving the strait, then turned around once on the other side again, again and anchored on the east side.

Any other trackers find the other ships yet?
