abuse begins in pregnancy. Is it related to jealousy of the baby or need to control? Could be financial concerns causing anger in unplanned pregnancy? I suppose there are hundreds of causes.

In my extended family the pregnant ladies were put on a pedestal and treated with added respect and caring. The thought of abusing a pregnant woman makes my thinking go all out of alignment.
