4. IMO President Biden is still bitter at how he was 'shown the door' by the Democratic establishment, and rightly so.

After the first debate the establishment basically said it was President Biden's choice to make if he were staying in the race. He publicly said he was. The establishment then said we will give him time to make his choice. He then sent a 'dear collogues' letter again saying he was staying in the race. The establishment responded again, we will give him time to make the right choice. A few days later and elected Democrats were calling for him to drop out.

Now I think it was ALSO hubris on his part to even run for reelection but the way it played out was not a good look at all.
