I still believe Trump had some major kompromat on the guy. He was always a bit wishy-washy, but until Trump, he seemed somewhat decent and often reasonable.

"Trump is a race‑baiting, xenophobic bigot who should be told to go to hell."

"Trump is an interloper and a demagogue of the greatest proportion."
