I still believe Trump had some major kompromat on the guy. He was always a bit wishy-washy, but until Trump, he seemed somewhat decent and often reasonable.

For Sen. Graham, it was about being in the vicinity of power. It didn't matter how badly he would debase himself, so long as he could stay near people with relevance.

The world is a better place with him gone.

I wonder if he was best friends with John McCain because maybe he thought McCain would become president one day.

Perhaps because he thought he would be President, but he still was a hanger-on even after McCain lost.

Graham just clung to people more significant than he and so assumed some parasitized influence. A political leech. Find a video of his hot mic moment with Secretary Kerry. He was only interested in borrowed power.

That seems to sum him up quite accurately. Such a sad, little man.

When McCain died, he seemed to move over into the Trump camp pretty quickly.

He called his wife a "painted c-word" and never met a war he didn't want.

He's have LOVED our current Iran situation.

Such a sad, pathetic life.

The fact that I feel a little bit like the thieves going through Scrooge's things in A Christmas Carol brings me a twinge of shame. I'll try to be a better person tomorrow.

Republicans don't vote for the policy or the person. They vote for the (R).

It doesn't matter who Republicans plug in to replace Graham in the election. Every single Graham voter will vote for them.

And their just as evil family members realize, life after all the hell brought upon the world by that ending will not be kind to them either. And Jr will live the curse of a name just like an AH Jr. And the best part about the unexpected ending, they have no time to repent for their evil. There's only 1 person alive today IMO that fits that category. For everyone else (like Osama Bin Laden, Rush Limbaugh, Rupert Murdoch, Vladimir Putin) they can be replaced with contemporaries.

Lindsey Graham represented a particular flavor of cowardice and hypocritical power seeking that directly empowered Trump.

Much like the one person you are implying, I think the world is truly a better place without the one person in Lindsey Graham, despite the fact that he will be replaced with an equivalent Republican in the Senate.

It does force the SC GOP to scramble a little bit, perhaps to offset our scrambling in Maine. A yin and yang...

And he left this mortal coil before he could inevitably try to rebrand himself as a better person once the Trump fever in the Republican Party died out.

Due to his unexpected passing, he will now forever be remembered as his deplorable MAGA self. That will be his lasting image in everyone's minds and that is how history will look back on him.

At least he has Strom Thurmond to keep him from claiming the top spot as the worst ever senator from South Carolina.
