"He was in Ukraine yesterday. If I had to irresponsibly speculate, my guess would be a pulmonary embolism. Flights from Eastern/Central Europe to Washington are 8 or 9 hours. Especially for older men, sitting that long can cause blood clots that can move into your heart and lungs. It can happen to anyone, but if you are older or have other conditions that can cause blood circulation issues or clotting, it’s very important to stay hydrated and moving if you’re going to be sitting for long periods of time. Compression socks help too."
