Didn't have that on my bingo card. He was just on TV like 2 weeks ago.

(15,657 posts)"He was in Ukraine yesterday. If I had to irresponsibly speculate, my guess would be a pulmonary embolism. Flights from Eastern/Central Europe to Washington are 8 or 9 hours. Especially for older men, sitting that long can cause blood clots that can move into your heart and lungs. It can happen to anyone, but if you are older or have other conditions that can cause blood circulation issues or clotting, its very important to stay hydrated and moving if youre going to be sitting for long periods of time. Compression socks help too."

Second, Graham had better hope the Bible is wrong about almost everything.

(775 posts)Primary was already held. Annie Andrews is the D challenger.
Nobody they can send from SC that will be a more reliable vote than Graham for Trump. Only downside risk for Republicans to replace. Right now Republicans are down to 51 votes. Basically they will be in deadlock on most votes considering the number of members who are in tight races.

(2,703 posts)What would have happened to Lindsey if he had not been blackmailed by Trump. He was not the same person ten years ago that he became. He was always a warmongering conservative, but he was an intelligent, affable guy with a sharp sense of humor. Not sure why, but I had a soft spot in my heart for Lindsey - until the Kavanaugh hearings. Condolences to the family.
There was a time when RWers like Rush put him up there with McCain as a RINO that could t be trusted. Makes you wonder what happened.

This was not on my list of if this then thats.
Now we may never find out what made him do a craven shameless full 180 for that man.
Wasnʻt he just starting to make some sense? He said something rational for once in recent days, regarding the Ukraine war or Iran conflict.
Well I guess we are only here briefly. Peace to his family and grant him grace. Eventually.

(3,539 posts)The way he flipped from criticizing Trump to rubbing up against his cankles was so sudden and swift it was frankly unsettling.
Like sure, he's by no means the first politician to flip flop and he certainly won't be the last but the way he turned on a dime was just jarring. Everyone expects a politician to be a weathervane but damn.
He helped Trump remake the GOP into what it is today and that will always be a stain on his legacy. It's a stain that darkens the reputations of a hell of a lot of Republicans, too. All the halfway decent ones got purged long ago in a slow-motion Night of the Long Knives.
Hope selling your soul was worth it, Lindsey.
