My favorite comment:

You missed one of the main points about addictiveness of AI coding. Which isn't exclusive to Claude Code, but very relevant: It has the main factors of gambling addiction. Rare big rewards (when it does something really well), frequent small rewards (you managed to get a step closer), many near misses (not quite the correct result). That's basically identical to slot machines. And a mechanism that many predatory business models use (some games, some online shops etc). Without this, people wouldn't say they're addicted, they would just say they're using it.

Uh oh, the addicts are about to get squeezed.

I hear so many people talking about how wonderful coding with AI is but they rarely say what they are actually doing with it. How often is it anything new and not just an ugly rehash of shit people have been doing with computers for decades?

Woohoo! I've created a new variation of Tetris!

No, you haven't created anything. You've made a mashup of all the similar games that were squeezed into the matrices of the imitation intelligence.

Maybe you can make a novel about a vampire who falls in love with a werewolf too.
