5. To Add: I was surprised this year that TurboTax doesn't support Windows 10 any longer.

I liked doing my taxes on my desktop PC, so I have used TurboTax for many years. I didn't realize they had dropped support for Windows 10 until I tred to download the 2025 version last week.

The Internet version is quite a bit different. However, the program will let you upload last year's saved file and will get you back up and running without much delay. I hate filling out all the personal information manually, so I had put off doing my taxes until today. I was surprised how easy it turned out to be. I was done in under an hour, but I have everything right at hand, so at least I'm not going through papers as I fill out forms.

All of the computer-based tax programs are pretty decent and save a lot of time. They can even answer most of your questions on the fly. Tons easier than working through paper forms and the IRS booklet.
