So, I'm right on time now!

I seriously hate this malarkey. Here's the original reason--that no longer applies:

"Daylight Saving Time (DST) was originally instituted during World War I (first by Germany in 1916, then the U.S. in 1918) as a wartime measure to conserve fuel and energy. By shifting an hour of daylight from the early morning to the evening, the goal was to reduce the need for artificial lighting and coal consumption."

I always thought it had something to do with farmers and school kids. Who knew?
