I seriously hate this malarkey. Here's the original reason--that no longer applies:

By shifting an hour of daylight from the early morning to the evening, the goal was to reduce the need for artificial lighting and coal consumption."

I always thought it had something to do with farmers and school kids. Who knew?

I don’t particularly enjoy the spring forward exercise. Guaranteed—church attendance will be down in the morning! My wife have already decided to attend the 10:30 service rather than our usual 9:00 AM!

In Europe, we don't set the clock forward until 29 March this year!

Europe. All my clocks do the switch on their own except my oven which I didn't change.

When I "spring forward" in the spring this time of year, my satelite clock keeps resetting back to DST.
