You are not the only one having trouble opening their jars apparently. Do a search for "Tostitos salsa lid" you will see videos on this exact subject.

Tell them -- although you like their salsa -- you are going to switch and start buying the fresh refrigerated salsa because you can get those lids off easily. They don't like to hear that. Bottom line they want your money.
