4. I strongly suspect that U.S./NATO air forces have already engaged the Russians...

Nobody has ever provided a legitimate explanation for how Russia was unable, during their initial massive attack on Ukraine, to gain air dominance over Kiev. More power to Biden if he did indeed give the green light for American pilots to take out Russian fighters. That said, that would be one secret that wouldn't be revealed for decades, if ever.
