13. Trump said they "want a deal more than he does"

...one in which, in negotiations this month, they've already offered to accept monitoring by the IAEA. All this arrogant militarism by the U.S. does is drive any objectionable enrichment underground, as it forces Iran into more of a defensive posture.

Moreover, there isn't just one political element in the nation of 90 million (three times larger than Iraq), rather, there are even more radical elements waiting in the wings than the present Iranian government (ir the present resistance) who would be advantaged by the regime change Trump envisions, military strikes confirming the worst fears they have of America and self-actuating and animating this fictional threat they pose right now to the U.S., likely deliberately. ?

The equation here is as it's always been, it's U.S. military aggression behind dubious political aims which is always cast as victory-or-bust when it's engaged in, not any lofty goals of defending democracies, or even advantaging a resolution of the original complaint - militarism defending it's own prerogative to militarize, much more than any of the reasons that it was employed in the first place.

This enterprise as insanely fraught with folly as any other that lost hundreds of thousands of lives, including those of the people we ostensibly claim to be defending. I mean, none of this NEEDS to happen right now.
