So this is the description:

"It was an international plot, stealing state secrets, blackmailing, manipulating markets, consolidating wealth, holding working families hostage to increase the wealth of an international oligarchy and concentrating power in the hands of a few very evil people."

Take away "concentrating power in the hands a few evil people" to "concentrating power in the hands of a few businesses or a few elite capitalists". And you have the perfect description of capitalism.

To get ahead, corporations, businesses, CEOs and those born with capital, break the law, connive, manipulate and abuse those with less capital. The business that breaks the law gets ahead much quicker and can monipolize the market much faster than one that follows the law. That's why capitalism always degrades into corruption. Capitalism eventually ensures that psychopaths and criminals get control.
