2. I don't think enough American Christians understand what's happening here.

Christian Nationalism is, essentially, Nazism. And it's huge in the U.S. right now. It's the reason Trump was elected, it's the reason the Republican-controlled Congress does nothing, it's the reason the news media has turned against democracy.

Meanwhile, old fashioned Christianity is on the defensive. Pastors in mainline Protestant churches continue to follow the old rules and avoid discussing politics. They are no match for the huge mega MAGA "nondenominational" right wing Christian Nationalist "prosperity gospel" white-supremacist -but-we're-nice-to-everybody (sure you are, as long as they know they're place and don't get uppity) congregations that tell their members how to vote.

Either mainstream Christian leaders wake up and fight back or they'll lose their whole religion to this catastrophe.
