For years ICE most certainly did not follow local laws, did not identify themselves and did pursue people who "looked" like they could be here illegally - brutally, routinely. It was much worse than it is now. It was difficult to get people to pay any attention to that, despite our warnings for years that it would someday be turned against them.

This never had anything to do with immigration. It is militant white nationalism.

Worrying that "Eliminate ICE" will be equated with don't control the border and allow criminal "alien" to stay in the country is buying into the white nationalist agenda. It is not going away. We can confront it now, or continue to kick the can down the road. The longer we do that, the worse the ultimate consequences will be.
