However, neither Biden or Obama sent roving bands of ICE to states they wanted to punish. To my knowledge, they followed local laws, identified themselves and did not use the Kavanagh rule that they could pursue people who "looked" like they could be here illegally. ( Speaking of which, that rule condones racial profiling and should be challenged.)

In addition, both gave TIP status to refugees from troubled countries and resettled highly vetted refugees in places with local support to help them assimilate.

The idea that we carefully call for MAJOR specific reform ... and probably a shrinking ICE force is likely what most people would agree with. What is really needed are many things the bipartisan immigration bill called for including more immigration judges.

The current policy is guided mostly be white supremacy. It is rare that any white European people living here undocumented are picked up in these actions, while many POC with American citizenship are
