A solution for funding DHS [View all]
We need the DHS, but we can’t allow current ICE tactics; so, I propose the following compromise:
DHS can be funded, but no bonus can be paid for meeting apprehension quotas. Additionally, no sign up bonus will be allowed; however, sign up bonuses for VA nurses will be allowed.
ICE agents will be required to wear badges with identifiable numbers. ICE agents will not be allowed to wear masks.
ICE agents will be authorized to carry a gun, but not allowed to have any bullets, just like Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith show.
