15. The government is not a business, and even if it were, evidence that Trump isn't a particularly good businessman

abounds. At least 6 bankruptcies, dozens of lawsuits where he was sued for stiffing people, his charity being shut down for fraud, adjudication wherein he was ordered to pay $20M for fraud surrounding Trump University, and LOTS of failed businesses: Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, and USFL to name a few.

There's solid evidence Donnieboy took money under that table from his father, who for example used to just go into his AC casinos and buy 10's of 1000's of $$$ in chips, and walk out with them, never cashing them in, to try to prop up his son's failing business. Which largely failed because he took out massive loans and then wasted the money he was given.

And he is by no means a "self-made" millionaire, his claims about having received only a small amount from his father (single-digit millions are what he's claimed) have been shown to be false by the NYT, in fact, he inherited (some of them through illegal schemes involving his father funneling him cash to avoid estate taxes) a sum in excess of $100M. He had a MASSIVE head start, and in fact, squandered his fortune.

So again, the Federal Government is NOT a business, nor should it be treated as one. It exists to serve the people, NOT produce profits, and there's absolutely nothing in the man's personal history that suggests he gives even the tiniest shit about making life better for his fellow man i.e. public service. And even it were a business, the guy clearly lacks talent at building successful businesses.

He cannot even bring himself to be honest with The People regarding what entities are responsible for paying his tariffs. He constantly talks like his tariffs are being paid by foreign countries, when in fact, it is the IMPORTERS (i.e. mostly Americans) that are paying his tariffs. Just one example of the firehose of lies that emanate from the man.

In fact, he literally has lied to The American People THOUSANDS of times, a fact that's been documented by numerous entities, including the WaPo during his first term. You cannot trust ANYthing that comes out of his mouth. That alone makes him unsuited to be the President of the USA. And yes, many politicians do lie from time to time, but Trump is pathological about it, and lies like his survival depends on, like breathing. He claims he didn't say things where there's literally video of him saying it, just days before.

It is more than clear that Trump's standards of what is right and what is wrong is *entirely* based on his perception of which decision or action benefits himself. Enriches him, makes him more powerful, or increases how much he's 'liked' by a particular swath of the population (i.e. your friend in the OP). He has no concept of what people would call "ethics", rather he clearly views every issue from the standpoint of what is good for him, personally. A qualified POTUS, should, by their nature, be someone who views issues through the lens of "what is best for the greatest number of Americans possible". That's part of the job description. And he will NEVER do that, it's not who he is. In fact, he is hostile to that idea, and seems to find it stupid.

He's also shown himself to be willing to use the power of the Federal Government to PUNISH states that didn't vote for him financially, withholding needed funds out of spite and rage. That is about as UNAMERICAN as it gets, and could in fact lead to a new civil war. Those are the actions of a DICTATOR, that have NO PLACE in a representative Democracy.

Basically nothing about the man, his history nor his nature, suggests he's actually QUALIFIED to be President of the USA. He is, however, uniquely qualified to be the Lord God Emperor King of a corrupt backwater banana republic :banghead"
