That Bluesky account for Newsom's press office has only 8.2K followers.
The X account, which has been the official account since 2013, has 673.9K followers.
That's why they're more concerned with posting on X, where they reach nearly 100x as many people.
You're going to miss a hell of a lot of official messages if you think only the Bluesky accounts are official. AOC, for instance, and a !ot of other Democratic politicians still use X much more than Bluesky.

It's on X. Newsom posts more on X than on Bluesky. Same for a lot of accounts on both platforms.
