In reply to the discussion: Four GOP Defections Derail House Vote on Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' [View all]Jack Valentino
(4,606 posts)rather than an actual vote on the bill itself---
This vote would not totally kill the bill itself, but it is a HUGE setback
if the House votes not to consider it at all, at this point in time....
(probably based on votes from far-right who thought the bill created too much more debt,
and some GOP "moderates" who didn't want to starve poor people,
and a few others for whatever reason---- haven't read the details yet)
but I do applaud this action! Refusing to even proceed to 'consider' it,
is GOOD NEWS for the American people at large--- for the moment, at least!
There won't be any big "BBB Celebration" on July 4 by the orange muffin in chief---
unless of course, he claims that his BBB was passed, when it wasn't
(and by all his previous conduct, that is NOT outside the realm
of demented possibilities...)
