2. the inevitable outcome of this tiff between the trumpers and the even more conservative republicans

while i admit it's been nice to see discord among republicans, they always find a way to come together, and invariably it's at the expense of ordinary people.

as bad as donnie's bill was to begin with, the biggest objections on the hill were from hard-line republicans who want to cut spending even more and do further damage to the safety net.

i imagine they'll make government programs markedly worse in order to reduce the increase in debt from 2.4 trillion to maybe 1.8 trillion, whatever. more pain for more people and the result will still blow a massive hole in the budget anyway.
