(15,242 posts)Biden as much as promised he wouldn't seek a second term when he was running in 2020, thus destroying the primary. Then, when made the decision to withdraw in 2024, it was too late for anyone besides Harris to run because there would be no money available. This led to Harris' loss primarily because she had two strikes against her: Black and female. As much as many would like to believe, the country isn't going to do that. She was doomed from the start.
And then, of course, was Biden's first fatal mistake: His appointment of Milquetoast Merrick as attorney general. Garland obviously wasn't qualified and his appointment was just a nonsensical consolation for Garland's nomination to the supreme court being blocked by McConnell in 2016. So everyone involved in the insurrection ended up either skating entirely or getting pardoned by the leader of the insurrection who is now president and gleefully dismantling the entire federal government.
