Biden was a great President who did a noble thing.

Harris lost because of a Press with an anti-Biden agenda and because of racists, sexist voters.
Not because of Biden.

Or she might have lost because Trump cheated.

Also, Trump had four years to bloviate, insult, slander and lie, and the press reported every word he said like he was making sense. And they are still doing it they found themselves a comfort zone in normalizing the dictator. The press, who knew Joe Biden for a long time, never reported on him like he was the president. The whole time Joe was in office. They kept reporting on Trump like he was president.

He wasn't my first choice in 2020, he wasn't my 5th, but he blew my expectations out of the water. He was a great president, even with the press almost all against him from day one.

Meanwhile, that same press corps acts like the Felon is the emperor and spend all of their time praising him.

But the 2024 loss was largely due to his stubborn insistence on running for a second term rather than announcing he would not run right after the 2022 midterms and allowing a full primary process.

Sadly, that will be Biden’s legacy, despite the fact he was the most progressive president since LBJ, and presided over the best economy since LBJ.

Voter suppression aside, Any talk of Trump “cheating” is kooky CT nonsense rejected by the Harris campaign and Marc Elias, the country’s top election integrity lawyer.

Biden as much as promised he wouldn't seek a second term when he was running in 2020, thus destroying the primary. Then, when made the decision to withdraw in 2024, it was too late for anyone besides Harris to run because there would be no money available. This led to Harris' loss primarily because she had two strikes against her: Black and female. As much as many would like to believe, the country isn't going to do that. She was doomed from the start.

And then, of course, was Biden's first fatal mistake: His appointment of Milquetoast Merrick as attorney general. Garland obviously wasn't qualified and his appointment was just a nonsensical consolation for Garland's nomination to the supreme court being blocked by McConnell in 2016. So everyone involved in the insurrection ended up either skating entirely or getting pardoned by the leader of the insurrection who is now president and gleefully dismantling the entire federal government.

I don't think so. Isn't it strange that:
Only registered Democrats didn't receive requested mail-in ballots in Red States.
Only Harris supporters' mail-in ballot signatures didn't match, and were rejected in swing states.
Days before the election, more than a million Registered Democrats were purged from the Texas voter rolls.
Russian operatives reportedly called in bomb threats only to left-leaning voting locations.
Only drop boxes in blue and minority districts were burned.
Democrats had record voter registration and voter turnout, but supposedly 20 million FEWER Democrats voted than they did during the 2020 pandemic.
It took only 4 hours to determine that Trump had won.
After Trump's 63 court cases & dozens of hand-recounts contesting the results of the 2020 election, and with all the irregularities, no one contested the results of the 2024 election.

Granted, this is second-hand information, however, most of the events are independently documented, but have been cherry-picked to be more easily discredited, and not listed in a manner that exposes an obvious pattern of abuse, especially now that the M$M is a wholly owned subsidiary of the GOP.
I think the Republicans deliberately poisoned the well, so to speak, so that Democratic leaders were too reluctant to accuse the Republicans of what they were irrefutably guilty of doing previously.
I must respectfully reject your assertion that there was no cheating by the Trump campaign. They were just clever enough to cheat before the election, not during or after it. Cheating has ALWAYS been Trump's modus operandi. Just ask anyone who has ever played golf with the sonofabitch. And for Republicans to even suggest that they don't cheat is like saying that vultures don't eat dead things. It's absurd on the face of it.

Biden soft landed America in thr post Covid economy. He did it without a major recession, loss of jobs, and better than many countries inflation. He also put Covid essentially behind us.

Blame Biden for Covid. Even though, the lock downs were under Trump. I get that it lingered into 2021, but by the end of 2021, we were back at work, school, and vaccinated. Biden did that. Trump had no fucking plan to roll out the vaccines.

This anti-vax shit was pushed by the media. Even after the health disaster that was the eventually Chinese lifting of Covid restrictions, many Americans think our Covid vaccine was worse than just having Covid.

Inflation sucks, it hurt everyone. But imagine Inflation and no jobs. Imagine inflation and no clear water, weather predictions, colleges, health care . . . The next 4 years promise a central government collapse that seems impossible not to happen. We are one crisis away from real pain worse than Covid ever was.

Yes some voters are racist and/or sexist. Yes the media ran a slant on Biden's condition. But also voters cared about inflation and immigration both of which the Biden administration didn't take action on until late in the game (particularly immigration). And there's a world wide trend towards anti-incumbent elections. And there's a case to be made that the Harris campaign made some crucial mistakes in a very close election. Shifting from the focus on Trump/Vance as weird, not having an answer to what would Harris have done differently, campaigning for the middle, not having an answer on trans issues. Trying to reduce things to factors outside of our control reduces our ability to have a better outcome next time

They put through the Inflation Reduction Act one year in. It just takes time for these things to take effect. And it did work.
But the Press wanted to keep talking about inflation as if it was Biden's fault and not how he brought it down.
Harris had policy and programs to help the middle class, the Press largely ignore it.
Trans issues was a purely Republican thing, and the Press dutifully kept it front and center.

Come on. That's just powerless thinking. Even if the media is against us, which really isn't true, there's still things we could do better. By ignoring that and blaming everyone else, you're abdicating our ability to improve things.

And the inflation reduction act wasn't really about reducing inflation. Even the Congressional Budget Office said it wouldn't do that. But perhaps they're both part of a big media conspiracy.

It doesn't matter if other countries recovered slower because people vote based on their own feelings about their economic status. But in 2024 when Biden was saying we had the lowest inflation in the world, we just didn't. It was lower than most, but at least 7 countries were better.

So it was misogyny for sure and white male privilege which is kind of connected.

A white woman that is a joke like Palin would not get the support a far worse joke like Trump got.

It was misogyny and racism.

I think there is a chance she would have beat Nikki Haley also but it's hard to say. Haley is someone many think would be difficult to beat in a general election. But I think a lot of bigots would have just not voted. It doesn't have to be a huge number but with elections being close it could be enough to influence the outcome.

And there are people that would vote for women in lower positions but not when it comes to the top so people voting for women in other office doesn't exclude bigotry.

I think for woman to win they need a situation like 2008 where the party in power is the opposite party of the woman running and we are dealing with an economic downturn .

Male resentment has been a huge thing and a black women will always be treated worse. Just look at how there is less focus on daily economic struggles with Trump in office even though these problems have not gone away. Things like housing affordability have been a problem for years now but people acted like Biden caused it and they will suddenly be able to buy a house under Trump.

There is a lot more to say but social media has been a huge problem. Liberals use it directly for political things which can be helpful.

But the right wing has used it to spread the cultural wars and you have dumbfucks voting based on their hatred and resentments.

They are working overtime on this.

It is similar to what they did to Hillary, Kerry, and Gore.

There is an agenda, and it has nothing to do with reporting the news.

Does anyone recall the Matt Lauer interviews with Hillary and trump?

It was a deplorable, disgusting exhibition of bias presented by a so-called news organization. Lauer threw every softball question at trump, and let him ramble on without challenge. With Hillary, he wouldn't even let her finish an answer to a question before he interrupted her, injecting his own innuendos.

Andrew Lack, the head of NBC at the time, along with other in the "news" business were full of praise for one of the most deplorable, bias interviews ever.

Their silence was defeating though when Andrew Lack was kicked out of NBC for covering up the sexual abuses and harassments Lauer had done against women at NBC.

The "news" industry in this country is full of sexism and misagomy, and has been for sometime now. It should come as now surprise how Harris was negatively framed by them, with rants how she wouldn't do interviews, etc, and when she did, how they criticized her for "lack of depth" in answering the questions, while completely ignoring the incoherent rambling of trump during his pseudo press conferences during the 2024 campaign.

They U.S. press has been dishonoring journalism for a long time, and has no intention of changing.

Was put into place. And how the Democratic party till this day falls into the trap that would never work with the Republican Party and Trump.

We are in the position that we are in right now because no Republican would ever say a bad word about Trump. The press doesn’t even question one single thing that Trump does as a result. On the other hand, we have Biden, who literally can do nothing right because there is always a Democrat who is willing to go on camera or put in print an anti-Biden message. Of course the press is all over Biden, why wouldn’t they be? They are all over him because they have fertile ground in the weak minded Democrats who bash him constantly.
I agree with Democratic policies, I just can’t agree with the weakness that is illustrated time and time again by the democratic leaders. It actually sickens me. This will turn away voters from the Democratic candidates. I have always voted Democrat. My enthusiasm to get behind a party that is destroying the best thing that has happened to them within the last 20 or 30 years besides Obama. It’s disgusting. It’s vile.
