27. We use Amtrak often.

Three or four trips a year to MO and IL from TX make it a no-brainer. Less expensive, so much more convenient, fewer people = no crowds. Every time, we get a typical 24-person (?) coach car and share it with maybe seven or eight others at most. Bring our snacks/drinks. No hidden charges for wi-fi, baggage, or bathroom visits (won't surprise me when (not if) airlines begin charging for that last one).

No stress, less expensive, and positively calming at the expense of 36 hours (the amount of hours we'd otherwise waste napping in the hotel room or some such). For us, the train is a major relaxant. I'd recommend it to anyone.
