Incidents like these (plane catches fire, incident with tug and airplane wing at ORD) happen all the time. As in daily. It's just that most of the time they get zero mention in the press. Except after and accident, like the one at DCA, every single trivial incident gets reported for the next three weeks.

Trust me on this. I was a ticket agent at DCA for ten years.
