that a lot of people viewed the influx of large numbers of immigrants in recent years as a problem. Even mass deportation for those who have not been convicted of a crime polls poorly. However, prioritizing border security polls much better as does limiting the number of immigrants allowed in . Those are the immigration issues that motivated people, NOT birthright citizenship.
