You can literally make it be anything you want it it to be then stand behind it, using it as both shield and sword. Youre not legitimate! NO! YOURE NOT LEGITIMATE! They all accuse each other of being wrong; each and all of them backing their own positions with their favorite bits of ancient storytelling that they deem more important than the others bits of ancient storytelling.
Its all a complete charade. Even the dumbest Evangelicals know he doesnt really give a shit about religion.

Yes, divorce is permitted in the Episcopal Church (as well as most other Anglican churches)
