In 1980, Jimmy Carter worked his butt of for a peaceful resolution with Iran. It did not go well.
John Kerry's stance on the Iraq War did not seem to help him too much.

Doubtful that is enough there are only about 6 million Jewish adults in the US and obviously not all of them voted.
