In reply to the discussion: My girlfriend's husband died tonight from Covid [View all]FirstLight
(14,368 posts)86. Yeah, My sister picked the place, and it was because of her own greed, IMO
She didn't want dad's prolonged care to eat up our inheritance... The place had billing and management issues from the get-go. And the staff was lazy at best, not even really overworked, just didn't care enough to make the effort.
I hated visiting him there and the food they served was a fucking joke. We tried to get them to give h8im better options, even went out of our way to buy/provide things he liked because they "said" they would give it to him. The staff put it in their refrigerator instead and they disappeard ...
I'm glad he's crossed over, he didn't deserve that at all. His last year after Mom passed was hell for him, and even with dementia, he was aware enough to know he wasn't home or in a "normal" place...

Some are saying those who were vaccinated are now getting sick and dying. Is that true? Anyone else heard this?

Not much info because it is a reich-wing myth promulgated by self-styled "purebloods"

There are a small number who have a bad reaction to any shot. More than 8 billion doses have been given worldwide.

Unfortunately, covid vaccines lose much of their effectiveness against infection after 6 months.

We all knew what SG meant. And the fact the girlfriend has a husband gives it more context.

Ignore them. If the post said "My friend's husband...", itwould have been much clearer.
