16. I'm surprised we don't perpetually ram that down Republicans' throats

It's clear that from a legal point of view (i.e. that the argument otherwise doesn't have consensus) the ERA from the 1970s is dead. Why we don't hold a prominent vote for a new one every congress, put it in every Democratic state of the union, etc., is beyond me.
