Overnight results from a number of key primary races in the Midwest are being seen as a major test of President Donald Trump’s hold on the Republican base as his party fights to keep control of Congress. In Indiana, a majority of incumbent Republican state senators who faced Trump-backed challengers lost their races. The incumbents were targeted by the president after they voted against his call to change the state's congressional map, a move that would've created two additional GOP-friendly seats in November's midterm elections.
