The judge may decide to sentence Trump prior to taking office (most likely a suspended sentence, but the felony conviction remains).

The judge may also delay sentencing until after Trump leaves office. This means that Trump would not be able to appeal the verdict while in office and the sentencing would hang over Trump's head the entire four years which may actually be worse due to the pending doom and mental duress.
