Personally, I dont have an issue with requiring them.

I would lay down on this issue, and move on. Perhaps, we could get something for it (i.e. automatic registration when getting an ID, election day registration in all states, etc).

I would quit dying on the hill of issues where we are very clearly contrary to voters.
