"legal" and ethical. Gun laws need to be made more stringent and selective, and focus on deeper background information and reasons for purchase. Keeping guns out of the hands of social misfits should be the goal.

SCOTUS has already recognized that "infringement" and regulation is allowable, just as it is with other enumerated rights.
