Mary Ann Vecchio learned she had PTSD. It took over 30 years till she knew. [View all]

She was a runaway and high school dropout. Mary Ann got her diploma 20 years ago at age 46. She went on to community college to train for and then work as a respiratory therapist at a Veterans Affairs Center. That's where she realized she had PTSD.

I hope that she is happy today. She is a ray of hope for me and I hope others that went through a bad time will talk to someone and maybe get some counseling or some kind of help if they need it. This wonderful person is an inspiration as someone who remade her life much later than most of us.
