Not that I think everyone needs to self identify as a feminist-- libertarians in particular will identify as humanists, as well as many liberals; Conservatives will try to redefine the term to suit a conservative agenda, but the thing is is this--when you say you are for equal rights for women, and say that 'feminism' has negative energy, not only is that hypocritical, it ignore the blood, sweat and tears of the feminists who made it possible to even express an opinion in the first place.

I always use a union analogy-- I have good benefits, and I pay my dues, and stay as involved as I can, but I work in an open shop. So many will opt out of paying dues because they still receive the benefits.
