It must be nice to be able to "be uninterested" in whether there's a wage gap or not. Some people would consider it a privilege to be so sheltered from the realities of something like that. If you can look away from the problem and not be forcefully reminded later, then that's got to be a pretty sweet deal.

It might also explain why privileged people get so defensive when they're forcefully confronted. They're not used to real life treating them that way constantly, so it must be a shock to their system.
